Sketch & Stash Challenge 19

Hiya everyone. Well, look's like the weekend's almost up, but at least we still have X-Factor to look forward to in a bit, lol!

Just wanted to show you my card for this fortnight's Sketch & Stash Challenge. There is a fabulous sketch this fortnight, and I will definitely use it again.

The image is one of the adorable Swiss Pixies from CC Designs. I'm not sure where the paper was from. I forgot I had it. The flowers are Prima, the brad and gems are from my stash, the faux stitching stamp is borrowed from my mum. The glitter is Craft Planet, the colouring was done with Pro Markers and the embossing folder is by Cuttlebug.

Right, I'll go and enter the card into the S&S Challenge and then I can pack away and settle down for X Factor, lol. :)

Bye for now, and thanks so much for taking the time to look!

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)

Crafty Monkeys Challenge 30

Hi there! Hope you're having a nice weekend.

Crafty Monkeys, the fabulous challenge run by Zoe and Hannah took a summer break, but now they are back with a great new challenge.

The challenge is to make anything other than a card.

I wasn't sure what to make at first, but then I remembered I had these little boxes made from recycled cardboard. I painted one black with my acrylic paints and then decorated it. I thought I could use it as a gift box to fill with sweets or bath fizzers to give to someone for their birthday.

OK then, that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Creative Inspirations 27

Hello! Just a quick post to show you this card I entering into this week's Creative Inspirations. The theme over there is animals, so my little poorly bee fits in nicely, hee hee!

The image is Alota, the sentiment was printed off my computer, the flowers, buttons, ribbon, pearls and glitter is from my stash. The backing paper is MME and the colouring was done with Pro Markers.

Thanks for looking!

Finally A Card!

UPDATE: The Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team has now been picked if you'd like to take a look!

Hello!

Firstly, sorry I haven't posted a card for so long. Since I've been in year nine the amount of homework is unbelievable! It's been taking up my whole evenings and I've only managed to make a card tonight because I managed to get everything finished last night.

This is my first Christmas card of the year and I'm entering it into this week's One Stop Craft Challenge, where the theme happens to be 'Let It Snow', which is convenient! :)

My mum bought some of these fairy downloads (I can't remember what they're called) a while ago, so I printed one off to use as they're just so sweet! :)
The sentiment says 'have yourself a merry little Christmas' - you can't really tell from the pictures. It's made by Studio G, and so is the holly stamp.
The snowflakes are Cuttlebug, the flowers, brads and pearls are from my stash. The backing paper is DCVW, from a new set I bought at the weekend, and the colouring is done with Pro Markers.

I've made my decision about the Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team now! I'm just waiting for everyone's emails to come through to say they accept, and then I'll put a post on the blog, so keep your eyes peeled! ;)

Here is a close-up view:

Right, I'll finish off now, and check to see if anyone else has accepted their new DT post! :D

Thanks so much for looking! Have a nice evening.

Hugs, Georgia xx

Charisma Cardz Challenge 35

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a nice evening.

I've just had a go at Rach's fantastic tutorial over on her blog for how to make scrunched-up flowers. I've been meaning to try it for ages but haven't really got round to it, so here's my attempt! I would have used glimmer mist on my flower, like it says in the tutorial, but I don't have any! I had a brainwave though, and I remembered that I have a tin of hair glitter spray in my wardrobe that I put in my hair for special occasions.
You can't really tell from the picture, but I've absolutely drenched my flower in the stuff and I'm quite pleased with the result!

I'm entering my card into this week's Charsima Cardz Challenge, where the theme is swirls and curls. There is an optional extra of hearts, but I'd already made the card when I saw the challenge so I haven't included hearts.

I'm not sure who the image is by, or the sentiment, but the colouring is ProMarkers, the backing papers are K & Co., the swirl stamps and butterfly stamps are borrowed from my mum and the rest of the embellishments are from my stash.

Here is a close-up of the flower before it went on the card:

Thank you for looking, and have a nice week! ;)

Hello! I've just finished making this card for the fab new Anyone For Anya Challenge that started recently, where there is a fabulous sketch!

The image is Anya, the sentiment and butterfly stamp is Studio G, the flowers are Prima, the brad is PaperMania, the gems are PaperMania, the flower pearls and ribbon are from my stash and the backing paper is from my stash. I'm not sure where it's from.

I'd just like to say thank you for everyone's support with my new challenge, and good luck to all the applicants so far, I really appreciate it! :)

Anyway, I'd better go for now.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look!

A Lovely Award & Thank You!

Hi there! I've just received this lovely award from Lisa and I'm going to pass it on now.
Thanks so much Lisa! I really appreciate it and I'm so pleased to have received it! :)
The terms of this award are:
1. Make reference about the award on your blog.
2. Share five things you like to do.
3. Pass the award onto ten other bloggers and inform them.
Here are the five things I like to do most:
- Spend time with my family.
- Read and write. A lot!
- Do my school coursework - seriously!
- Make cards.
- Sew, paint, draw etc.
I would like to pass this award to:
A big thank you to Nikki, Chris and Carole for agreeing to sponsor the Crafty Calendar Challenge over the next couple of months!
- Tara (Mum)
- Zoe
I hope none of you have had this award already - if you have, sorry! ;)
Well, that's my first day of year nine done! It was actually only a half-day because all the older years didn't have to go in until eleven to let the new year sevens settle in for a couple of hours.
I had IT and Media Studies this afternoon, which was really good! :)
I bet the coursework will start piling up soon thought, with me starting my three-year GCSE course now! ;)
Before I go, thanks again to Lisa for the award and also a big thank you to everyone who has applied to be a Design Team member for Crafty Calendar Challenge!
