Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone! This is just a quick post to say Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you have a lovely Christmas weekend! These pictures are two that I took a week or two ago when we had snow here in the North West of England and edited on Picnik. I love it when the snow has only just fallen and no one has walked or driven in it yet and it's like a big white carpet - it looks so pretty!

I'm really excited about Christmas this year, as I didn't ask for anything much on my Christmas list, so pretty much everything I get will be a surprise! I also love giving out my presents to other people as well - Christmas shopping is definitely one of my favourite parts of this season, hee hee! :)

Anyway, I'll go now and carry on watching Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. That's another thing I love about Christmas - all the films on TV during the school holidays! You can tell I'm a bit of TV addict - I'm also looking forward to the Christmas soaps this year, ha ha! :)

I hopefully be back in the next few days to show you my Top Ten Cards list for 2011, before the New Year. Have a brilliant Christmas!

Lots of love from, Georgia xxxx

Top 10 Cards of 2010

Hiya! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and are enjoying some time off from work and school if you haven't gone back already.
I just thought I'd show you my Top 10 Cards of 2010 before the end of the year and this will also probably be my last post before we move house in early January. I'm going to use some of my Christmas money to go out and have a look in the Christmas sales and choose some new accessories for my bedroom at the new house, so I'm really looking forward to that!

They're not in any particular order, but I just had a look through my blog and chose ten of my favourite cards, so here they are!

My first card is a card I made with this cute Mo Manning digi-image and some Basic Grey papers that my mum, Tara kindly bought in a pad for me, which I love! Thanks Mum!

Here is a card I made with Indian Tilda and I really enjoyed using these bright colours and these pretty Prima Hydrangeas.

I love this cute Penny Black image that I won in some blog candy a while ago and this was the first time I used Glossy Accents, can you believe! I love these pinky-red Basic Grey papers in the Nook & Pantry range pad!

I think these papers are from the Nook & Pantry pad as well and I love this cute Tilda with the presents!

I made this card with some of the goodies I bought from the NEC back in March for my step-grandma. I think this is my favourite card of all from 2010 because I love this Tilda image that Chris sent me, thanks Chris!

This card was for my mum and dad's sixteenth wedding anniversary and even though it is a bit more simple than my normal style, I was really happy with it when it was finished and it was for a special occasion.

I was really happy with the bright summery colours on this card and I love these papers from a PaperMania pad my mum treated me to.

I was really pleased with this card when I made it because it was quite different for me because I'd used bolder colours and had started to layer my cards a bit more.

I just love Tilda images, as you can tell! Here is another Tilda card with some glossy lettering dome stickers, (top right-hand corner) which I bought not long after I first started making cards before I had a blog!
I made this card for the Crafty Calendar Challenge when I was running it before, for a challenge themed around humour. Hee hee, I thought the sentiment was funny!

Well, that's it from me for 2010. I'm looking forward to when we're all settled into our new house and I can start making cards more regularly again. Plus, me and my mum are going to be able to share our own craft room at the new house, as there is one extra bedroom!

Thanks so much for looking and for all your lovely comments this year, I reallly appreciate it and hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to wish everyone a brilliant Christmas and happy New Year! I hope everyone gets lots of great presents and has a lovely time over the Christmas break!
I'm really looking forward to a yummy Christmas dinner and lots of fun time with family, so I hope everyone has a great Christmas and I'll be back to crafting in January hopefully, after we have moved house.
Thank you for all your lovely comments this year, I appreciate it so much and I'll be back soon with a list of my favourite cards I have made over 2010.
Bye for now!
Lots of love, Georgia xx

Something Different

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in so long, I've just lost my mojo to make cards a little bit, which I think is partly because of the fact that I'm moving house in a couple of weeks and we'll be starting to pack pretty soon, which I think has just put me out of the mood for getting crafty, for some reason.

Anyway, at school every Thursday at school we have a special afternoon where we are off-timetable and do something different that we wouldn't normally do and the activity changes every new term, so at the moment, I am doing crafts. We are doing different types of crafts, like cardmaking (yay!), ceramic-painting and jewellry-making, which is what we did last Thursday.

A lady came in who owns her own craft shop in a town near where I live and gave us tutorials on making jewellry, and I found it really interesting and relaxing to do and really enjoyed it and I was really pleased with the end result.

I made this necklace and matching earrings to give to my mum for Christmas, so she has had strict instruction to not look at my blog for a while, hee hee!

I also made a little label out of card to attach the necklace and earrings onto, but I don't want to wrap it because the earrings keep coming out of their holes, and it's just easier to give it to her as it is.
I've also bought her a set of Russian dolls, as she's always said how much she likes them and I just thought it would be something she'd be really pleased with.
I missed school on Friday, because I had a sore throat and a bad cough and cold, but I was feeling a lot better at the end of the day, so I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the cinema with a couple of friends, and it was fantastic, I loved it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of going to see it, it's brilliant!
My cough got worse over the weekend, so I stayed off today as well, but I think I'm going to back tomorrow, I'm glad I still got to see Harry Potter though!
Thanks for looking and have a lovely week!
Love, Georgia xx

Merry Christmas!

Hi! I am SOOO excited that it's Christmas Eve!
I went to see the new 'A Christmas Carol' film today at the cinema, and it was brilliant! And the perfect film to watch on Christmas Eve!
I would just like to say Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year! Hope everyone has a fantastic time, and thank you for all the lovely cards and gifts I've had! :)

Lots of love,
Georgia xxxx

A Card At Last, and a Christmas Break!

Hi everyone! I'm sorry it's been so long since I last posted a card, but it's so busy with it being Christmastime. I'm really glad though, because I've done all my homework, my school bag's packed ready for January, and yesterday I sorted through all my craft drawers and cleaned out my room, so it's nice and tidy and organised for Christmas. I don't know what it is about Christmas, but somehow everything has to be perfect so you don't have to worry about it when you're enjoying yourself.

I'm soooo excited now, and I'm really pleased with all the presents I've bought for people! :)

Anyway, here is another Christmas card I've done. I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

The image is Sugar Nellie, I'm not sure who the papers are by, the colouring was done with Pro Markers, the sentiment is part of the backing paper and the poinsettia and embellishments are from my stash.

I won't be posting any more cards now over Christmas, but I'll be back on New Year's Day with my Design Team card for Challenge 4 of the Crafty Calendar Challenge!

I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

Before I go, here's a Christmas picture of Fizzy I edited on Picnik:

Merry Christmas!

Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team Card

Hi! Happy Friday, lol!
I'm at school at the moment, and hopefully this post schedule will work!

Here is my DT card for Challenge 3 at the Crafty Calendar Challenge.
The theme is 'Winter Sparkle'. I wanted to be a little bit bague and steer away from a Christmas challenge, because obivously people wouldn't make Christmas cards after Christmas!
You can't really see the sparkle on my card - there's some glitter on the image and then I've added the red gems too.

The image is Penny Black, the papers are DCVW, the gems are PaperMania, the colouring was done with Pro Markers - the sentiment is Studio G, and the rest of the embellishments are from my stash.

Hee hee, I can't wait until Christmas and it's only the 4th of December, lol! ;) That's all my Christmas cards done now, and they're all written and ready to go! :)

Have a great weekend, and see you soon! :)

Christmas Card, GCSEs, Contact Lenses & A Cat Wearing A Wig!

Hello! My homework has died down a bit now, thankfully.
I've got my first GCSE exam of many more to come tomorrow morning at nine o'clock - a nice start to the day then, heh?
Actually, I'm not worried at all. I'm pretty confident with the work we've been doing and I'm not the sort of person who gets het up about exams.

Also, I've got my contact lenses now! I went for monthly disposables, and I'm getting more and more comfortable with putting them in and taking them out now, so I'm so glad I decided to have them.

This card is for this month's Crafty Monkeys Challenge, where the theme is Christmas. I think I've only got one more Christmas card to make now! I feel sorry for my mum, she's got much more to make than me!

The papers are Bo Bunny, the image is Penny Black, the colouring was done with Pro Markers, the glitter is Craft Planet and the rest of the embellishments are from my stash.

Before I go, I just thought I'd show you a couple of pictures of Fizzy - I think she's aged about twenty years, lol! She doesn't look too impressed! ;)

I can't wait until tomorrow night because me and my mum and dad and my brother are going away for the weekend to Harlech, where we went in July. I'm guessing there'll be lots of wintery walks and chocolate and snuggling up in front of X Factor involved, lol!

Thanks for looking!

A Christmas Card & Candy Win!

Hi there, hope everyone's had a nice weekend. Back to school tomorrow for me! I've had a teacher training day today, so I've been making the most of my last day by chilling out!

I can't believe Jedward got through on X Factor last night! I'm actually worried that they might win it, lol!

Last week, I won Lisa's birthday blog candy, which was a £15 gift certificate to Bunnzy-Zoe's Crafts, so as you can imagine, I was made up!
My goodies have arrived today, which you can see on the picture. I got a High Hopes 'Party Hippo' rubber stamp, some half pearls, a selection of twenty mixed charms and two gorgeous paper pads, so I'm really chuffed with everything, and can't wait to use it all!
Thanks again to Lisa and to Nikki for sending my stuff so quickly! :)

This card I have made is for this week's Creative Card Crew Challenge, where they have a theme of snowflakes. So, I've added a couple of punched out snowflakes to my flowers.
I want to get all my Christmas cards done in advance so I can send them out early in December and not end up rushing like me and my mum normally do! ;)
The image is Sugar Nellie, the papers are Bo Bunny, the flowers are Prima, the colouring was done with Pro Markers and the rest of the embellishments are from my stash.
Thanks for looking and have a good week. :)

One Stop Craft Challenge 52

Hi everyone! Hooray, I'm so glad it's half-term now!

I'm glad I can finally relax now, but I've got revision to do as well, because at my school, instead of sitting all our GCSE exams at the end of year eleven, we do them in chunks from year nine, right through to year eleven. So, after half-term I'll be sitting my first proper legal GCSE exam for biology! I'm not too nervous though, because I find biology fairly easy, it's chemistry and physics I struggle with!
We've been given some rules that we have to follow when we go into the exam, and it sounded like we were being checked at an airport getting onto a plane! You have to bring in all your stationary in a clear bag and your blazer will be checked when you go in! Hee hee! ;)

Anyway, I'm entering this card into this week's One Stop Craft Challenge. Their blogoversary is currently going on, so the theme is celebrations, so I've entered my Christmas card.

The image is Rubber Romance, the sentiment is Studio G, the papers are DCVW, the snowflake is Cuttlebug, the colouring was done with Pro Markers and the rest of the embellishments are from my stash.

Hope you have a nice weekend! :D

Bye for now, love Georgia xxxx

Creative Card Crew Challenge 31

Hi there! Happy Friday, lol!
Sorry for the lack of cards this week, I'm a bit addicted to the new Sims 3 game and I just got it, so I've been playing on it non-stop!

Here is my card I am entering into this week's Creative Card Crew Challenge, where the theme is celebration. So my card is celebrating Christmas!

The backing papers were given to me by my mum, the image is Whiff Of Joy, the colouring was done with Pro Markers and the sentiment is Studio G. The embellishments are from my stash.

There was a 'Sponge A Teacher' session at school today for charity. I so wish I'd had some money on me because my old science teacher who I can't stand was one of the teachers! I can't wait until X Factor tomorrow, because it's the start of the live shows! :)

Anyway, bye for now and have a lovely weekend. Thank you for looking, and for all the fabulous entries into the Crafty Calendar Challenge so far!

My Third Christmas Card

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great Saturday, thanks goodness it's the weekend! :)
My photo is absolutely rubbish, but here is my third Christmas card of the year.

The sequin ribbon looks purple because of the light, but it's actually white.

The image is Kerry-Jo, the sentiment is Studio G, the backing paper is DCWV, the ribbon, star charm, brad, iced gems and glitter is from my stash.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)

Finally A Card!

UPDATE: The Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team has now been picked if you'd like to take a look!

Hello!

Firstly, sorry I haven't posted a card for so long. Since I've been in year nine the amount of homework is unbelievable! It's been taking up my whole evenings and I've only managed to make a card tonight because I managed to get everything finished last night.

This is my first Christmas card of the year and I'm entering it into this week's One Stop Craft Challenge, where the theme happens to be 'Let It Snow', which is convenient! :)

My mum bought some of these fairy downloads (I can't remember what they're called) a while ago, so I printed one off to use as they're just so sweet! :)
The sentiment says 'have yourself a merry little Christmas' - you can't really tell from the pictures. It's made by Studio G, and so is the holly stamp.
The snowflakes are Cuttlebug, the flowers, brads and pearls are from my stash. The backing paper is DCVW, from a new set I bought at the weekend, and the colouring is done with Pro Markers.

I've made my decision about the Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team now! I'm just waiting for everyone's emails to come through to say they accept, and then I'll put a post on the blog, so keep your eyes peeled! ;)

Here is a close-up view:

Right, I'll finish off now, and check to see if anyone else has accepted their new DT post! :D

Thanks so much for looking! Have a nice evening.

Hugs, Georgia xx
