Celebrate Spring

Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying the nice weather wherever you are! Sorry it's been so long since I last post, but I actually have been doing a lot of crafting. I've made two cards for my mum, whose birthday is this coming week, one from me and one from my dad, but I'm not posting them until after her birthday, in case she sees them on my blog! I am so excited about tomorrow for my birthday! I had a brilliant time last night with my friends, as I had my party at Pizza Hut and we had some lovely pizza and hot cookie dough for pudding! Anyway, I made this card with a spring theme and I tried out this cute Sarah Kay image that I've never used before, because Pro Markers were a bit too chunky for the intricute bits on Sarah Kay images, but now I'm using Polychromatic pencils, I can use them now, yay! I've got a bit of a mix of papers on this card. The blue spotty paper is My Mind's Eye and the pink paper is Annalee.
Materials:

Image: Sarah Kay

Sentiment: Studio G

Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug

Flowers: From My Stash

Cardstock: Bazzil

Colouring: Polychromatic Pencils

Glitter: Stickles

Leaf Punch: Woodware

Flower Stamps: Unknown (Given To Me By My Mum)

Brads: Paper Mania

Liquid Pearls: Borrowed From My Mum

I've got strict instructions from my mum not to look at her blog today, because the card she made for my birthday is being used as her Guest Design Team card for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge! I can't wait to see it, hee hee!

I am entering this card into these challenges:

- Cupcake Craft Challenges - Pink Polka Dots (On the Punched Leaves)

- Papertake Weekly Challenge - Lemon Zingy (On the Image and Flowers)

- Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for looking and have a lovely week!

I'll be back soon hopefully with my mum's birthday cards!

Love, Georgia xx

Princess Tilda Card

Hello! Hope you're all having a lovely week and looking forward to Easter! I honestly can't believe the weather though. We woke up with a light dusting of snow this morning, here in Staffordshire and in Scotland, it's a different story, lol!

Anyway, here is a card I made for this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge, where they have an open theme for the end of the month.
My mum stamped me out one of these gorgeous new Princess Tilda images with one of her new stamps she bought from the NEC, she's so cute!
I also got the papers, flowers, brads and pearls from the NEC!

Materials:
Image: Magnolia
Sentiment: Studio G
Colouring: Pro Markers
Cardstock: Bazzil
Papers: Imaginisce
Flowers: From my Stash
Other Embellishments: From my Stash
It's so nice being off school now, plus all my homework is done, so I don't have that to think about either.

Before I go, I just wanted to show you this, which my brother and my dad made, as at my brother's school, there is an Easter competition to make a scene with eggs.

Here it is, isn't it great? He's mad on cricket, so decided to make 'The Eggy Oval'!

Thanks for looking and happy Easter! :)

Simon Says Challenge - Blog Hop!

Hello! Over at Simon Says Challenge, this week, to celebrate their newest DT members, there is a special blog hop and recipe challenge! To qualify for the grand prize, which is either a Sizzix Big Shot machine or a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp (wow!), you have to enter the challenge and collect a mystery letter from each DT member's blog and unscramble them to make a word, how great is that?! :)

Here is my entry for the recipe challenge:
You have to use three types of embellishment (flowers, pearls and buttons), two papers and one image.

Materials:
Image: From a set my mum got me at the NEC, but I threw the packaging away so not sure what the make is.
Sentiment: Studio G
Papers: MME
Flowers: Prima
Colouring: Pro Markers
Embellishments: From my Stash
Thanks for looking and best of luck with the blog hop if you're entering!
We're off to see Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief at the cinema now, so hopefully it'll be a good one! :)

Just Magnolia Challenge & More Snow!

Hi! I can't believe it, but we've had more snow! Just when I thought it was gone for the year, I woke up to a several inch covering of it everywhere, and it's still snowing now!

Anwyay, here is a card I made last night for this week's Just Magnolia Challenge, where the theme is to use hearts and flowers on your card. I used some K&Co. paper and cut a heart out of it with a Nestie shape and then embossed and sanded it.

Materials:
Image: Magnolia
Sentiment: Studio G (I think!)
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug
Colouring: Pro Markers
Papers: K&Co.
Ribbon: From my stash
Flowers: Prima
Other Embellishments: From my stash

I can't believe I've had this lovely glitter ribbon for about two years now, and I've never used it until I made this card! I think I was a bit scared of wasting it, lol!

I very much doubt it, but you never know, there's a chance of the school being closed tomorrow, lol!

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a nice week! If I don't make another card beforehand, I'll be back on Friday with my Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team card - don't forget to tune in for Challenge 5! :)

Bye for now!
Love, Georgia xx

Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge #21

Hellooo! :)
Here is the card I am entering into this weeks' Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge.
There is a fab sketch over there at the moment so I decided to enter using my new paper pad.
I'm trying to start layering up my cards a bit more - I'm used to just using one sheet of paper and then putting on my image and embellishments but I'm trying to use more different papers on my cards and add embossed card for texture.

Materials:
Image: Tilda
Sentiment: Studio G
Flower Stamp: 7 Gypsies
Backing Papers: K & Co. - Roam
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug
Gems: PaperMania

Oops! I've just suddenly realised that I missed a little part of the sketch! There are supposed to be three little circles at the top left hand corner of the brown rectangle but I forgot! Oh well, I suppose it won't hurt. ;)

Anyway, I'd better sign out now as I need to pack my school bag for tomorrow.
Thanks for taking the time to visit! :)

Creative Card Crew #14

Hi there! Hope the weather's good where you are - it was raining here in Staffordshire this morning but it's lovely and sunny now.
Here is the card I'm entering into this week's Creative Card Crew Challenge.
The theme over there is 'geometric shapes'. I was a little unsure about this at first but I had a look at the DT cards and they gave me loads of inspiration - it really isn't as hard as you'd think!
I used stripy and spotty paper to link in with the theme.

I made this card for my Grandad as it's his birthday on 16th June.

Materials:
Image: Snoopy
Sentiment: Studio G
Ribbon: PaperMania
Mosaic Tiles: Unknown
Gems: PaperMania
Backing Papers: PaperMania

OK, I'll sign out now and watch TV with my brother; he's come back from his school's residential trip to Ludlow today and he's absolutely shattered so I'm going to sit with him for a bit.

Thanks for looking. Love, Georgia xx

Too Late!

Hi there! I made this card to enter the Crafty Monkeys Challenge run by Zoe and Hannah.
I don't know if you know but recently, Zoe and Hannah have decided to run it as a weekly challenge rather than fortnightly.
There was me, leisurely making my card, thinking I had plenty of time, a whole week! But I just went on to Crafty Monkeys and the next challenge has come up so unfortunately I won't be able to enter this card into the challenge but I can still post it on my blog.
What am I like?!
The theme for the challenge I missed was 'in the garden' so I chose this garden image and took my picture in my garden with flowers from my favourite plant out there.
Materials:
Image: Penny Black
Sentiment: Studio G
Backing Paper: Making Memories - From Carole
Yellow Flower: Prima
Metal Flower: Unknown
Buttons: Unknown
Gems: PaperMania
Glitter (On Image and in Centre of Flower): Stickles
Thanks for looking and sorry I didn't enter your challenge Zoe and Hannah! I'll try to remember that you've gone weekly now. :)

Crafty Monkeys Challenge #20

Hello! I'm sorry I haven't posted a card for a while - I've been busy...it was my dad's birthday on Saturday and I've been doing quite a lot over the second week of the Easter holidays. Plus I've been getting up-to-date with my homework.

Firstly, I want to show you what Carole at Stardust Gems And Ribbons sent me.

The other day I received a parcel with all this inside! I have received a beautiful paper pad which is great as I haven't got any of the designer paper pads.

Also she sent some Stickles, lovely flowers and sticky pearls and a little flowery tin with a Hanglar stamp inside! I'm thrilled as I know you can't get them in this country.

Thank you ever so much Carole, it was a wonderful surprise and I really appreciate it!

I have made a card using some of the lovely papers Carole sent me...here it is:

The theme for this fortnight's Crafty Monkeys Challenge is 'Spring' so I thought the flowery paper would fit it nicely.

Materials:

Backing Papers: Flower Patch - Making Memories

Sentiment: Printed off the computer

Heart Gems: Club Green

Image: Anya

White Leaves: One of my mum's punches

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the week.
