Hello! I know I said I wasn't going to be posting any more cards until my Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team card on New Year's Day, but I just thought I'd share with you my Top 5 cards I've made in 2009, my first year of blogging!

Also, thank you so much for all the lovely comments that have been left, it's so nice that I've found so many crafty friends! :)

Here is my Top 5, they aren't in any particular order (I sound like Dermot O'Leary announcing the X Factor results, lol!).

1. Circular Scalloped Card

2. Green & Brown Card

3. Summer Days Card

4. 'Live' Card

5. Cherish Card
Thank you for looking, and I hope everyone's had a fantastic Christmas - it's been brilliant for me, and best wishes for 2010! I'll be back again on New Year's Day, like I said.

A Card At Last, and a Christmas Break!

Hi everyone! I'm sorry it's been so long since I last posted a card, but it's so busy with it being Christmastime. I'm really glad though, because I've done all my homework, my school bag's packed ready for January, and yesterday I sorted through all my craft drawers and cleaned out my room, so it's nice and tidy and organised for Christmas. I don't know what it is about Christmas, but somehow everything has to be perfect so you don't have to worry about it when you're enjoying yourself.

I'm soooo excited now, and I'm really pleased with all the presents I've bought for people! :)

Anyway, here is another Christmas card I've done. I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

The image is Sugar Nellie, I'm not sure who the papers are by, the colouring was done with Pro Markers, the sentiment is part of the backing paper and the poinsettia and embellishments are from my stash.

I won't be posting any more cards now over Christmas, but I'll be back on New Year's Day with my Design Team card for Challenge 4 of the Crafty Calendar Challenge!

I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

Before I go, here's a Christmas picture of Fizzy I edited on Picnik:

Merry Christmas!

Friday Sketchers Challenge 82

Hello! If you haven't seen last night's X Factor, then look away now, lol!
I was really shocked at the results, were you? I'm so glad Joe got through, but I was really surprised that Olly made it through as well!
I so hope Joe wins tonight though!
Anyway, here is my card for this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge. I'm not very keen on it, but I've warmed to it a bit since I made it earlier.
I can't wait to go and do my Chrismtmas shopping on Thursday! I love buying for other people because it's nice being able to think about each person and choose something that you think they'd like.
The image is Miss Anya from The Greetings Farm, I'm not sure who the papers are by, the lace was from Heather, the sentiment is Studio G, the flowers are Prima, the brads are PaperMania and the rest is from my stash.
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy X Factor tonight, if you're watching! :)

Clothes Show Live Photos

Hi! I've just got back from the Clothes Show and here I am, as promised, with some photos!

The actual show was absolutely incredible - really fantastic! The whole production of it was brilliant, the lights and the earsplitting music made it unbelievable, and if you ever get the chance to go, go for it, because it really was superb and I had a great time!

Above is Louise Roe and George Lamb, introducing the show, with some other guy from Hollyoaks.

And here is a randomly-picked woman receiving a pressie! I practically ducked under my seat so the spotlight wouldn't pick me, lol!

There were loads of different themes for the different collections. This one was a toy theme and all the models were dolls and soldiers.

This was from the Winter Wonderland theme.

This is supposed to be Christmas morning.

The Nightmare Before Christmas theme.

Toy theme again.

Jingle Bell Rock.

The Winter Wonderland theme again.

A Christmas office party theme.

The Winter Wonderland theme again.

And here is a boy band, Vice, performing (miming methinks!)

I took LOADS more pictures, but these are just some of the best ones.

I've had such a brilliant day, and I've managed to get two lovely tops, two scarves, loads of bangles and make-up! Plus loads of freebies.

By the way, if anyone does go in the future to the Clothes Show, don't buy a VIP pack that they advertise at the main entrance. I paid eight pounds for mine, and it said we were supposed to be able to get discounts and freebies everywhere we went, but I didn't get a single one, so that was a bit of a swizz. But, never mind, the day was great! :)

Clothes Show Live 2009

Hi! I am soooooooooo excited because I'm going to the Clothes Show Live tomorrow at the NEC in Birmingham with school, as a GCSE textiles trip! I've got everything packed now, spending money, phone, lunch and camera, so I'll make sure I get some really good shots to post on here tomorrow!

Apparently, Gok Wan is going to be there, so hopefully you can expect to see a picture of him on here, if he's there! :)

Well. I'll be back here tomorrow, with a truckload of photos! :)

Bye for now, love, Georgia xx

Friday Sketchers, Photo Effects & An Award

Hello! Hope everyone's had a nice weekend. I've had a chill-out day so far - didn't wake up until quarter-past eleven! I'm going out in a bit to deliver my Christmas cards.

Here is my entry for this week's Friday Sketchers Challenge, where there's a fab sketch this week. I looked at it and thought it would be difficult, but it was actually easy to do and I really enjoyed making my card!

I can't remember who the image is by, and the sentiment doesn't have a brand on it, but the papers are K&Co., the colouring was done with Pro Markers, the leaf stamp is Studio G, the glitter is Craft Planet and the pearls are from my stash.

Chris posted on her blog about a photo-editing website a month or so ago, called Picnik, and it really is a brilliant website. You just upload your card, which takes no time at all, and there are loads of brilliant effects, like the one I did on the first photo above, and the majority of them are free!

Before I go, I'll just share with you this award that Stacie gave me - thanks so much Stacie for the lovely award, and thank you for thinking of me! :)
For this award you have to do the following things:
- Thank the sender for nominating you
- Make sure you link to the person that nominated you
- Nominate seven creative bloggers
- Copy the award onto your blog.
- Post links to their blogs
- Leave a comment for them to let them know about the award
- Write seven interesting facts about yourself

Here are my seven facts:

1. I am a spelling/grammar freak and hate missing capital letters and apostrophes, lol!
2. I caught meningitis when I was a baby, because I had a dip in my fontanelle.
3. I love school and hate the thought of handing in homework late!
4. Reading and writing are my passion and I have had three poems published.
5. I absolutely loathe swimming and can only just about swim to save my life!
6. My favourite ever films are Stardust and The Sound of Music, they give me goosebumps when I watch them.
7. Since I was nine I have always been obsessed with Harry Potter, but am not into Twilight because I don't like the thought of vampires.

I have to pass this onto five bloggers, so I will give it to:

- Donna - Donna's Doodles
- Tara - Happily Ever Crafting
- Sarita - Little Princess Cards
- Michele - Shelley's Papercrafting Paradise
- Carole - Stardust Gems & Ribbon

I had a lovely day yesterday. My mum and dad took the train to Birmingham to do some secret Christmas shopping (!!!) and to look at the continental market there, so me and my bro went to my Grandma and Grandad's house and we helped them decorate their tree and they took us for a gorgeous hot chocolate with marshmallows at a local bar, mmm! :)

OK, that's it for now! Looking forward to getting up for school tomorrow, NOT! But at least it's not long until Christmas now, yay! :)

Crafty Calendar Challenge Design Team Card

Hi! Happy Friday, lol!
I'm at school at the moment, and hopefully this post schedule will work!

Here is my DT card for Challenge 3 at the Crafty Calendar Challenge.
The theme is 'Winter Sparkle'. I wanted to be a little bit bague and steer away from a Christmas challenge, because obivously people wouldn't make Christmas cards after Christmas!
You can't really see the sparkle on my card - there's some glitter on the image and then I've added the red gems too.

The image is Penny Black, the papers are DCVW, the gems are PaperMania, the colouring was done with Pro Markers - the sentiment is Studio G, and the rest of the embellishments are from my stash.

Hee hee, I can't wait until Christmas and it's only the 4th of December, lol! ;) That's all my Christmas cards done now, and they're all written and ready to go! :)

Have a great weekend, and see you soon! :)

A Card At Last!

Hi everyone!
I'm sorry I haven't posted a card in over a week! My homework's been pretty full-on, but I've managed to get it all done now, so hopefully, unless I get any more tomorrow, I'll have a homework-free weekend, which is a total rarity, lol!

I'm totally in the Christmas mood now! My dad put up our Christmas lights today, and we put the indoor decorations up last weekend, so I'm really excited now!

I made this card for this week's Allsorts Challenge, where the theme is to use buttons. I used my new High Hopes stamp and new papers - I wanted to make a more boyish card for a change, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

One good thing about this time of year, is that there's always loads of great TV on! At the moment I've got X Factor, I'm A Celebrity and one of my favourite programmes, Waterloo Road, shame it's only on once a year!

The image is High Hopes, the papers are K&Co., the star gems are PaperMania, the sentiment is Studio G, the colouring was done with Pro Markers and the rest of the embsllishments are from my stash.

Don't forget to tune into Challenge 3 of the Crafty Calendar Challenge tomorrow - I can't believe it's two whole months since it started! My Design Team card should appear here tomorrow morning if the scheduling works - fingers crossed! :)

Thanks so much for looking! :)
Love from, Georgia xx
