Messy Rabbit Card & Gift

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great week! I can't believe nearly four weeks of the summer holidays have gone already!

I made this card and some earrings in a little gift box for my great-grandma, who turns ninety-two in just over a week. Sorry the photos aren't very clear. I took them last night in my garden and the light wasn't that good, and I couldn't take anymore today because I've packed everything up to post off to Reading, where she lives.
Anyway, I used this cute Messy Rabbit image by Joanna Sheen, as I thought she might like it. I also tried out my mum's new Magnolia Doohickey die, which I really like because it'll go with a lot!

Materials:

Image: Joanna Sheen - Messy Rabbit

Sentiment: Printed Off The Computer

Papers: K & Co. - Classic

Flowers: From My Stash (Green One Coloured With Pro Marker)

Ribbon: From My Stash

Swirls: Magnolia - Doohickey Die

Swirl Stamps: Lizzie Ann Designs

Doily: From My Stash

Colouring: Polychromatic Pencils

Dew Drops: From My Stash

Pearls & Pearl Hearts: From My Stash

Distress Ink: Tim Holtz - Brushed Corduroy

Here are the box and earrings I made to go with the card. I really like making earrings - they're so quick and easy and make really nice simple gifts!

The papers I used for it are from the same pad as the card, K & Co. Classic; the flowers and pearls are from my stash and the sentiment was printed off the computer.

I'm going to enter the box and card into a few challenges, but separately.

I'm entering the card into these challenges:

- A Spoon Full of Sugar - Happy Birthday

- Oldie But A Goodie - The Great Outdoors

- Papertake Weekly Challenge - Bingo (Top Line - Blooms, Pearls and Doily)

I'm entering the box into just one challenge:

- Allsorts Challenge -Anything But A Card

Anyway, have a nice week and weekend and I will be back soon hopefully with some more cards before the end of the summer holidays!

Thank you for looking, bye for now!

Handmade Gift Box & Jewellery

Hi everyone! I'm so glad it's half-term, yay! This term has gone so fast, as it's only been four weeks long!
The other day, I made a pair of earrings and a little gift box for my grandma's birthday, but I was in a bit of a rush to make it, so that I could take it to her, so I didn't really have time to take a picture of it, but I made another pair tonight and a gift box to give to my other grandma for her birthday in July.
I had lots of jewellery making equipment for Christmas, and earrings are so easy to make and I think they make a nice handmade gift for someone. Plus, you can personalise it and make it suit the person you're giving it to with different colours and beads.

Materials:
Cardstock: Crafters Companion
Papers: Basic Grey - Pyrus
Flowers: From My Stash
Leaf Punch: Woodware
Sentiment: Borrowed From My Mum
Distress Ink: Tim Holtz - Brushed Corduroy
Pearls: Bunny-Zoe's Crafts
Flower Centre: Assorted Gems

I am also entering the box into these challenges:
- Colour Create Challenge - White, Cream & Brown (Optional - One Extra Colour - Blue)
- Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
- Papertake Weekly Challenge - Pale, Pretty Pastels
- Stamp Something - Something Sentimental

The box was really easy to make - it's just a really simple cut and fold process that I learnt at an arts and crafts workshop years ago and you can make it any size you want, which is good, depending on what size card or paper you have.

Thank you for looking and have a great weekend!
Bye for now!

Magnolia Fest!

Hi there! Oh no, looks like more rain's been forecast! Mind you, it's better than snow!

Yesterday, I fancied doing something other than a card, so I decorated this little box that someone gave me a necklace in. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, as these aren't usually the sort of colours I'd put together. You've probably noticed I'm having a bit of a Magnolia fest at the moment, I just can't get enough of all the cute Tildas! This image was sent to me by the lovely, Heather, as part of a birthday present, thanks Heather!

Materials:
Image: Magnolia
Lettering: Cuttlebug
Flowers: From My Stash
Cardstock: Bazzil
Paper: October Afternoon
Metal Flowers: From The NEC
Gems: From My Stash
Colouring: Pro Markers

I can't believe how much mess I made from just making this box! Most of it was paper scraps from my Cuttlebug machine, which I haven't used in ages!

I'm entering this box into The ABC Challenge, where the theme is 'R is for Red'.

Thanks for looking and hope everyone's having a great Easter!

Crafty Monkeys Challenge 30

Hi there! Hope you're having a nice weekend.

Crafty Monkeys, the fabulous challenge run by Zoe and Hannah took a summer break, but now they are back with a great new challenge.

The challenge is to make anything other than a card.

I wasn't sure what to make at first, but then I remembered I had these little boxes made from recycled cardboard. I painted one black with my acrylic paints and then decorated it. I thought I could use it as a gift box to fill with sweets or bath fizzers to give to someone for their birthday.

OK then, that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Colour Create Challenge #6

Hello! This is my entry for this week's Colour Create Challenge.
The colours for this week are orange, green and yellow; nice summery colours.

The extra option was to make something different than a card. The design team came up with some brilliant ideas and they're creations are worth a look, even if you aren't planning on entering!

I have made a trinket box out of card. I find these really useful as gifts - you can fill them with sweets or whatever and they're ideal for birthdays or Mother's Day!

I filled mine with bath fizzers as you can see in the pictures below. I really enjoyed making this!

Materials:
Card: Paper Cellar
Ribbon: PaperMania
Glitter Drops: Craft Planet
Orange Flowers: Prima
Green Flower: PaperMania
Brad: PaperMania
