Something Different

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in so long, I've just lost my mojo to make cards a little bit, which I think is partly because of the fact that I'm moving house in a couple of weeks and we'll be starting to pack pretty soon, which I think has just put me out of the mood for getting crafty, for some reason.

Anyway, at school every Thursday at school we have a special afternoon where we are off-timetable and do something different that we wouldn't normally do and the activity changes every new term, so at the moment, I am doing crafts. We are doing different types of crafts, like cardmaking (yay!), ceramic-painting and jewellry-making, which is what we did last Thursday.

A lady came in who owns her own craft shop in a town near where I live and gave us tutorials on making jewellry, and I found it really interesting and relaxing to do and really enjoyed it and I was really pleased with the end result.

I made this necklace and matching earrings to give to my mum for Christmas, so she has had strict instruction to not look at my blog for a while, hee hee!

I also made a little label out of card to attach the necklace and earrings onto, but I don't want to wrap it because the earrings keep coming out of their holes, and it's just easier to give it to her as it is.
I've also bought her a set of Russian dolls, as she's always said how much she likes them and I just thought it would be something she'd be really pleased with.
I missed school on Friday, because I had a sore throat and a bad cough and cold, but I was feeling a lot better at the end of the day, so I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the cinema with a couple of friends, and it was fantastic, I loved it! I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of going to see it, it's brilliant!
My cough got worse over the weekend, so I stayed off today as well, but I think I'm going to back tomorrow, I'm glad I still got to see Harry Potter though!
Thanks for looking and have a lovely week!
Love, Georgia xx

An Award

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post tonight to share with you this fabulous award I was nominated for by Caroline, thanks so much for thinking of me Caroline!
For this award, any bloggers who are nominated can claim a free digi-image from Digis With Attitude Digi Stamps, which you can do by clicking here if you have been nominated!

You also have to name three things which make you different, so here goes!

- I'm on Team Harry Potter and I hate Twilight (eek, that might ruffle a few feathers, ha ha!)

- I'm always myself and don't act a certain way to impress.

- I love sprouts and Marmite, ha ha!

I would like to pass this award to all the lovely people who stop by my blog and give me so much inspiration with their stunning cards!

Thanks again for the award Caroline!

I'm off to do my Christmas shopping tomorrow - me and my mum are going on the train to Chester, I've been looking forward to it for ages, yay! I love Christmas shopping! :)

Bye for now and have a lovely weekend! Wagner had better go out of the X Factor or I think I'll scream! :)

Love, Georgia xx

Sweet Motivet Fairy

Hello, I hope everyone's having a great weekend and getting into the wintery mood, ha ha! Can you believe I've already bought a Christmas present for my mum?! It's just that I wasn't sure how long it would be in the shop for, so I just decided to go for it and get it a little earlier than everything else, but I won't tell you what it is, as she might read this!

My mum went to NEC in Birmingham to meet up with lots of lovely crafting buddies yesterday, as many of you will have done too, I guess! I decided to sit this one out, but I will hopefully be going in March next year, as I'll hopefully have some birthday money to spend!

While she was there, she bought me a gorgeous Annalee paper pad, full of stunning papers, which I love! Thanks Mum! :)
...And I just had to use some on this card, did you really have to ask?! :D

I am entering my card into these challenges:

A Spoonful Of Sugar Challenge - 'Relish To Embellish'

I hope I'm back soon, but I might not have chance to make any cards during this week, as I've got three of my exams coming up, one on Tuesday and two on Thursday, so I'll be revising. I hope everyone had a great Bonfire Night, by the way! There were tons of fireworks around our area, wow!
Anyway, thanks so much for looking and I hope everyone who went to the NEC had a great time and got lots of nice crafty stuff!
Have a nice week! :)
