Messy Rabbit Card & Gift

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great week! I can't believe nearly four weeks of the summer holidays have gone already!

I made this card and some earrings in a little gift box for my great-grandma, who turns ninety-two in just over a week. Sorry the photos aren't very clear. I took them last night in my garden and the light wasn't that good, and I couldn't take anymore today because I've packed everything up to post off to Reading, where she lives.
Anyway, I used this cute Messy Rabbit image by Joanna Sheen, as I thought she might like it. I also tried out my mum's new Magnolia Doohickey die, which I really like because it'll go with a lot!

Materials:

Image: Joanna Sheen - Messy Rabbit

Sentiment: Printed Off The Computer

Papers: K & Co. - Classic

Flowers: From My Stash (Green One Coloured With Pro Marker)

Ribbon: From My Stash

Swirls: Magnolia - Doohickey Die

Swirl Stamps: Lizzie Ann Designs

Doily: From My Stash

Colouring: Polychromatic Pencils

Dew Drops: From My Stash

Pearls & Pearl Hearts: From My Stash

Distress Ink: Tim Holtz - Brushed Corduroy

Here are the box and earrings I made to go with the card. I really like making earrings - they're so quick and easy and make really nice simple gifts!

The papers I used for it are from the same pad as the card, K & Co. Classic; the flowers and pearls are from my stash and the sentiment was printed off the computer.

I'm going to enter the box and card into a few challenges, but separately.

I'm entering the card into these challenges:

- A Spoon Full of Sugar - Happy Birthday

- Oldie But A Goodie - The Great Outdoors

- Papertake Weekly Challenge - Bingo (Top Line - Blooms, Pearls and Doily)

I'm entering the box into just one challenge:

- Allsorts Challenge -Anything But A Card

Anyway, have a nice week and weekend and I will be back soon hopefully with some more cards before the end of the summer holidays!

Thank you for looking, bye for now!

Love, Georgia xx

Vintage Hanglar Card

Hello! It feels like ages since I've posted on my blog! We're all moved in now to our new house and we're settling in really well! I haven't really been in the crafting mood over the last couple of weeks, because I wanted to settle in and relax a bit first, plus my craft stuff is at the bottom of my wardrobe at the moment, so it's not very accessible. Eventually though, my dad is going to put some floating shelves up in my room, so I can store things on there and then move my craft stuff somewhere else.
When I made this card yesterday, I realised how much I'd missed card making!

I've made it to enter into a few different challenges and I used my mum's new Tim Holtz stamps, which I really like!
I also had a go at doing a sepia effect with my colouring again, and I'm pleased with how it came out, as it's something a bit different and makes a card look a bit more vintage.

Materials:
Image: Hanglar
'Love' Sentiment & Stamped Text: Tim Holtz
Doily: From My Stash
Papers: Prima - Annalee
Colouring: Polychromatic Pencils
Cardstock: Bazzil
Flowers: From My Stash
Newspaper-Style Flowers: Printed Off The Computer and Punched With Woodware Punch
Wooden Heart: From My Stash
Pearls: Martha Stewart
Distress Ink: Tim Holtz - Brushed Corduroy
Chandelier Branch: From My Stash

Over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week, the theme is to use newspaper on your card. I couldn't find a newspaper at our house, so I printed some newspaper text off the computer and punched flowers out of it, and then what did my mum bring back from the shop about five minutes later?...a newspaper! Typical! :)

I'm so glad it's the summer holidays now! So far, I've been chilling out a lot, plus I don't have much homework to do, which is nice! Today, we're all going to our local farm to get some gravel for our new back garden and me and my brother will probably feed the animals!

I'm entering my card into these challenges:

- Allsorts Challenge - Free 'n' Easy
- Colour Create - Cream, Aqua and Pale Pink
- Creative Card Crew - Animal Antics
- Papertake Weekly - Getting Cute
- Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Use Newspaper
- Stamp Something - Something Embellished
- Stampin' For The Weekend - Paws For Thought
- The Pink Elephant - Photo Inspiration

Anyway, I'd better go now. Thank you for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Love, Georgia xx

Sweet Motivet Fairy

Hello, I hope everyone's having a great weekend and getting into the wintery mood, ha ha! Can you believe I've already bought a Christmas present for my mum?! It's just that I wasn't sure how long it would be in the shop for, so I just decided to go for it and get it a little earlier than everything else, but I won't tell you what it is, as she might read this!

My mum went to NEC in Birmingham to meet up with lots of lovely crafting buddies yesterday, as many of you will have done too, I guess! I decided to sit this one out, but I will hopefully be going in March next year, as I'll hopefully have some birthday money to spend!

While she was there, she bought me a gorgeous Annalee paper pad, full of stunning papers, which I love! Thanks Mum! :)
...And I just had to use some on this card, did you really have to ask?! :D

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge - 'Make It Vintage'
A Spoonful Of Sugar Challenge - 'Relish To Embellish'
Cupcake Inspirations - Photo Inspiration

Materials:
Image: Motivet
Sentiment: Stamps Borrowed From My Mum
Colouring: Pro Markers
Glitter: Stickles
Cardstock: Bazzil
Papers: Annalee
Flowers: From My Stash
Lace: From My Stash
Doily: From My Stash
Glimmer Mist: That Special Touch
Here is a close-up of the flowers (decorated with some glimmer mist, pinched from my Mum, hee hee!):

I hope I'm back soon, but I might not have chance to make any cards during this week, as I've got three of my exams coming up, one on Tuesday and two on Thursday, so I'll be revising. I hope everyone had a great Bonfire Night, by the way! There were tons of fireworks around our area, wow!
Anyway, thanks so much for looking and I hope everyone who went to the NEC had a great time and got lots of nice crafty stuff!
Have a nice week! :)

NEC, New Stash & A Card!

Hi there! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, it feels so strange when the clocks go forward, doesn't it?
I had a fantastic day at the NEC yesterday and it was such a lovely experience, meeting so many lovely bloggers for the first time and stocking up on some gorgeous new stash! I had a brilliant time and thank you to all the lovely people I met who made it so special, I'll definitely be coming to the next one in November, hee hee! :)

I couldn't resist getting out my new stash and making a card with it! Everything on this card is new, apart from the Sizzix die for the corners, which I borrowed off my mum. I'm really pleased with this card and I think I'm going to give it to my soon-to-be step-grandma, whose birthday is coming up in April.

I am entering this card into a challenge I just discovered, called Crafty Catz. Their theme for this week is 'white and one other colour', how convenient is that?! I was planning to make a white and pink card last night and this is the perfect challenge to enter it into! :)
Materials:
Image: Magnolia (given to me by the lovely Chris!)
Paper: Not sure, but from the NEC!
Roses: Magnolia
Glimmer Mist: Marshmallow
Glass Beads: From my new stash!
Doily: From my new stash!
Pearls: From my new stash!
Colouring: Pro Markers
I really enjoyed making this card and I loved using my new things!
Here's a picture of all my new stuff! I didn't really have anything specific in mind that I wanted to get, but I definitely wanted to stock up on some more flowers and embellishments, which is exactly what I did! :)

I also wanted to show you this bag I bought while I was there, great isn't it?! :)

Finally, here are a few pictures of the blogging people me and my mum met up with.
Sorry for the extremely long post! :)

Well, that's all from me for now, phew! :) Don't forget to watch the Dancing On Ice final tonight, I can't wait!
Bye for now! Off to Tesco now to get some soup and rolls for lunch, mmm!
