Crafty Monkeys Challenge #29 - 1st Birthday

Hello! Firstly, I'd like to say a big "happy birthday" to Crafty Monkeys, the children's challenge.
There is no brief this week except that your card has to be made only for the challenge so here is my entry.

I embossed the bottom half of the card with one of my mum's Cutllebug emobssing folders and used some of my stash that I haven't touched in a while, which is good.

I made a bit of a mistake but it turned out to be good! In the bottom right-hand corner I punched out a butterfly but it went off the edge of the card so I snipped off the whole corner to get rid of it and I'm quite pleased with the effect so I added some dew drops which were part of the candy I recently received.

Also, have you heard about Michael Jackson? I turned on the BBC Breakfast Show this morning and there were people with candles and wearing Michael Jackson t-shirts and I couldn't believe it. I wasn't alive for most of his era but I'm so shocked! I still haven't got my head round it! I'm watching an ITV tribute programme now as I type.

Hello - hope everyone's had a good weekend! The weather hasn't been very good in Staffordshire but it's supposed to warm up in the middle of the week, emphasis on the word 'supposed'!
This card is for this week's Crafty Monkeys Challenge. The challenge over there is to use buttons on your card.
I am also sending this card to Sanne whose candy I won recently. This is just a little thank you card.

I'm really excited at the moment, partly because the new Harry Potter film is going to be released soon! Sorry, I'm a bit of a Harry Potter freak, tee hee! :)

Also, at my school, once a year we have a week called PINC Week, (PINC stands for Participate, Innovate, Negotiate and Cooperate). Basically, we just get to have a few days off timetable. On Wednesday 1st July I am going to the cinema for a backstage tour and then a private screening of a film. On Thursday 2nd July I am going to Alton Towers, I've never been before so I'm really excited! On Friday 3rd July I am doing a yoga workshop - I'll need lots of practice on my Wii Fit! :)

Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge #21

Hellooo! :)
Here is the card I am entering into this weeks' Inspirational Card Sketches Challenge.
There is a fab sketch over there at the moment so I decided to enter using my new paper pad.
I'm trying to start layering up my cards a bit more - I'm used to just using one sheet of paper and then putting on my image and embellishments but I'm trying to use more different papers on my cards and add embossed card for texture.

Creative Card Crew #14

Hi there! Hope the weather's good where you are - it was raining here in Staffordshire this morning but it's lovely and sunny now.
Here is the card I'm entering into this week's Creative Card Crew Challenge.
The theme over there is 'geometric shapes'. I was a little unsure about this at first but I had a look at the DT cards and they gave me loads of inspiration - it really isn't as hard as you'd think!
I used stripy and spotty paper to link in with the theme.



I made this card for my Grandad as it's his birthday on 16th June.

Hi there! I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while - I've been quite busy this week.
I'm not looking forward to having to get up early tomorrow but I'm counting down the weeks until the summer holidays now! I can't wait to start year nine as I'll be starting my GCSE courses!
